Heritage Quilt Exhibition

Heritage Quilt Exhibtion

Long overdue, quilting is now being recognized as an art form in the art world. Quilters and other artists using this medium are in fact part of a time-honored tradition. The earliest evidence of quilts appeared around 3400 BCE on a statue of an Egyptian pharaoh.

Often thought of as nostalgic and domestic crafts, quilts have been recognized for their aesthetic value for an exceptionally long time. This month’s exhibition celebrates the art of quilting and welcomes it to the gallery and the JAV David Museum as an important art form.

If you are a quilter and are interested in taking part in this exhibtion, please contact the Heritage Home for the Arts
